Electrical faults
Power supply: blown fuses, damaged supply cables, low or unbalanced voltage and faulty contactors. Check supply lines, replace fuses and service contactors.
Motors: overheating, burnt windings, bearing damage and brakes that do not hold. Regular maintenance, lubrication and rewinding where needed.
Mechanical faults
Ropes and chains: wear, breakage, stretching, poor lubrication or jumping off sheaves. Inspect regularly and replace worn sections.
Rails and wheels: rail wear, loose fixings, misalignment and wheel wear. Realign rails, tighten fixings and inspect wheels.
Control faults
Remote controls: weak batteries, signal problems, faulty buttons and pairing issues.
Control panels: electronic board, sensor, software and overload protection faults. Check boards and calibrate sensors.
Safety system faults
Brakes: worn linings, leaks, electromagnetic brake and release mechanism problems.
Limit switches: wear, misadjustment, wiring problems and damage from moisture and dust.
Prevention
Daily visual checks, weekly lubrication, monthly electrical checks, quarterly mechanical checks, an annual full service and well-trained operators prevent most faults.
